Poor, Kelly Rowland. Girl can’t even get married without having the Knowles name dragged in somehow.
Despite the fact that the former Destiny’s Child singer got hitched to manager and boyfriend Tim Witherspoon in Costa Rica this weekend, all everyone and their grandmothers could talk about was the fact that one of Rowland’s wedding guests — Solange Knowles — beat the hell out of Jay Z just days before watching her walk down the aisle.
According to Us Weekly, both Beyonce and Solange were present at the intimate nuptials. The two reportedly jetted down south after the Met Gala, where the infamous Solange/Jay Z smackdown took place.
“It was a quick, simple ceremony — only around 30 people,” a source said of Rowland’s small wedding.
Rowland and Witherspoon got engaged back in December 2013 after he proposed over Skype. This is the first marriage for the “Dirty Laundry” songstress, who was previously engaged to football player Roy Williams before the two parted ways in January 2005.
