Cory Monteith’s death is still very raw for his Glee family, including Dianna Agron.
On Friday, Agron joined her co-stars Michelle Pfeiffer and Robert De Niro from The Family on Katie, when the conversation briefly focused on the late actor.
“It’s one of those things that still doesn’t seem real,” a tearful Agron told Katie Couric.
“And you just take out a new lease on life and you realize that he’s smiling down on us and we all have nothing but the truth, which is he was one of the most amazing people I’ve ever met.”
The appearance comes some two months after Monteith was found dead in his hotel room in Vancouver. The Canadian actor died of a toxic mixture involving heroin and alcohol.
The upcoming fifth season of Glee will kick off with two Beatles-themed episodes before a third episode, titled “The Quarterback,” will pay tribute to Monteith and his character Finn Hudson.
Glee returns to FOX on Sept. 26.
Agron’s film The Family is now in theaters everywhere.
