After a sufficiently dehumanizing week of being handcuffed under suspicion of “indecent exposure,” Django Unchained actress Daniele Watts is in more hot water.
According to eyewitnesses, the actress and her husband Chef Brian James Lucas weren’t just kissing in a parked car when they were reported to 911 – they were having sex.
Although the couple claims that they were merely making out, eyewitnesses near the CBS studio allege that Watts was straddling Lucas in the passenger seat, with the door open for others to see. The final unsavory detail: they used a tissue to clean themselves up afterward.
The incident occurred last Thursday in San Fernando Valley, prompting accusations of racism and police brutality. After Watts refused to show identification to the police, she was handcuffed so tight that her wrist was bleeding, and was then placed into the back of a police car.
“Today I was handcuffed and detained by 2 police officers from the Studio City Police Department after refusing to agree that I had done something wrong by showing affection, fully clothed, in a public place,” she wrote on her official Facebook.
Lucas explained his conviction that race was a major factor in his wife’s detainment: “I could tell that whoever called on us (including the officers), saw a tatted RAWKer white boy and a hot bootie shorted black girl and thought we were a HO (prostitute) & a TRICK (client).”
The couple has since hired a lawyer, and will be filing a complaint with the LAPD.
