Ewan McGregor OBE Outside Buckingham Palace

British outlets had some fun with Ewan McGregor headlines today, using any and all pun related to McGregor’s Star Wars character.

“From Obi-Wan to OBE,” declared the BBC.

OBE Wan Kenobi,” read Scotland’s Herald headline.

The 42-year-old Scotsman received an OBE from Prince Charles today at Buckingham Palaces for his services to drama and charity.

Talk of a Trainspotting sequel came up, and though he’s not officially signed on, McGregor was game for reprising his role in the 1996 film.

“I have not been approached officially,” McGregor said after the ceremony, according to ITV News.  ”But I would be up for it and there has been talk about it happening in 2016, 20 years after we did Trainspotting.

“The sequel is called Porno, so I have to be careful about saying I am doing Porno in 2016.”
