Evan Ross Cast in ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay’

Another citizen of Panem has been cast.

Evan Ross, the son of iconic singer Diana Ross, joins the ensemble as Messalla, a member of the crew that assists filmmaker Cressida, in Liongate’s anticipated The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 & 2, the franchise’s final installments based on the third book in the Suzanne Collins‘ best-selling young adult trilogy.

Ross, who is currently dating Ashlee Simpson, is just the latest cast member to be added to the roster for the series’ final two Hunger Games films: Natalie Dormer was recently tapped as Cressida, and Stef Dawson was chosen for Annie Cresta, Finnick’s (Sam Claflin) love interest.

The first Mockingjay movie is slated for a 2014 release, but before then, catch the series’ second installment, Catching Fire, on Nov. 22.
