Gisele Bundchen Retiring From the Runway, Will Walk Last Show in April

Gisele Bündchen is ready to part ways with the runway.

After 20 years in the industry, the 34-year-old supermodel is retiring from the catwalk this year and will walk her last show in April.

As reported by Moda Estadão, Bündchen will fulfill her dreams by strutting her stuff for the last time in Brazil at São Paulo Fashion Week. She will complete her final catwalk on April 20 in Colcci’s show, a Brazilian brand she’s maintained a close, long-lasting relationship with throughout her career.

Though she may be turning in her catwalking heels, she’s not giving up her modeling career entirely. She still plans on being the face of many campaigns and fashion spreads in the future, just not on the runway.

Bündchen has lessened her catwalk appearances over the last several years because, let’s face it: as the highest paid model eight years in a row, she really doesn’t need to be doing it.

But that’s not to say we won’t miss her! She’s become an icon on the runway and her retirement definitely marks the end of an era.
