Hugh Jackman has sought treatment for skin cancer for the third time, having yet another basal cell carcinoma removed from his nose a couple of days ago. The actor’s rep says that the Les Miserables star is “feeling really well” after the procedure.
Jackman first prompted speculations that he was seeking more cancer treatments after he was spotted walking his dog with a bandage on his nose over the weekend. Previously, the actor had been seen sporting the same look after he was treated for skin cancer twice in the past twelve months.
In November 2013, Jackman revealed he had a carcinoma excised from his nose. He had a second procedure in May, sharing a photo of his bandaged nose on Instagram.
“Another Basel Cell Carsinoma. All out now. Thanks Dr. Albom and Dr. Arian. PLEASE! PLEASE! WEAR SUNSCREEN!” Jackman urged his followers.
According to the Australian Cancer Counsil, two in three Australians will be diagnosed with skin cancer by the age of 70.
