Johnny Weir’s divorce drama has only become more sensational since he announced the split via Twitter last week.
In the wake of the social media firestorm that’s erupted, we’ve come to learn his husband of two years, Victor Voronov, not only alleges infidelity, but that the Olympic ice skater hid the divorce from him and there was a violent physical altercation between the couple that led to Johnny’s arrest. And now the two are coming to more blows in court over not only their beloved dog, but dozens of designer handbags, jewelry and hundreds of thousands worth in fur coats.
Now, is Johnny’s mom, who he claims was helping the couple out of some “financial messiness,” chiming in about her son-in-law via cryptic online messages?
The day Johnny went public with news he was ending his marriage, Patti Weir took to her Facebook page to explain the meanings of the words “con” and “bottom feeder,” which garnered numerous comments from friends and supporters.
But was her specific choice of words really that random?
Although Victor is not named in her postings, Johnny has been very open in recent days about his estranged husband’s apparent reluctance to contribute financially to their relationship and the burden the figure skater faced because of it.
“He was not super-accepting of the fact I work and I have to work this week in Russia, this week in Los Angeles, next week in Tokyo and that’s something that’s hard to wrap your head around,” he told Access Hollywood in a tell-all interview.
“I was supporting two people, and whether it seems like a big deal or not, I come from a lower middle-class family that has to work no matter what.”

Victor’s spokesperson has disagreed with Johnny’s tale of unemployment. Crisis manager Wendy Feldman says her client gave up his job as an attorney to allow Johnny to pursue his dreams after ice skating and while he is currently looking for a job he does plan to ask for spousal support.
“Victor worked with and for Johnny in every way — as a partner, lover, friend and legal advisor – everything,” Feldman told PEOPLE.
In fact, Johnny revealed his mom was the one at the center of the verbal argument that turned physical and was the final straw in their rocky union.
“The night in question, my husband was very drunk and was yelling at me about my relationship with my mother and my mother was assisting me in cleaning up some financial messiness that had happened,” he told Access, “and he was uncomfortable with that and had voiced it very clearly. So, we had a fight…”
The domestic violence charges were later dropped at the request of the couple, but Johnny added what he thinks are his husband’s true motives at the root of it all.
“I was defending myself and it’s unfortunate that there was a mark left on his body, because as soon the police came to our home, the first thing he did was show this mark,” he said. “So I knew then he didn’t really care that much and all he is out to do is hurt me.”
The day of his exclusive sit-down with Billy Bush when Johnny detailed his very private struggles within his “threatening marriage,” his mom detailed just how she is coping.
Since then, she’s remained silent, while Johnny has been quite vocal, especially about the latest custody contention involving their Japanese Chin, Tema, who he calls “the most beloved man in my life.”

Victor, however, not only claims Johnny is smearing his name in the press to increase his celebrity cred, but that he took Tema knowing full well he belonged to Victor. You see, Victor says the dog was a ”make-up gift” from Johnny after his hubby “caught him sexting another man.”
“Plaintiff is fully aware that I was Tëma’s exclusive caretaker, including remaining home alone to care for Tëma after his surgeries {and other medical issues) and during plaintiff’s extensive and frequent trips,” E! reported per court docs filed by Victor’s attorneys. “By way of example, in 2014 alone, plaintiff has not spent more than four consecutive days at home; how he could suggest that he primarily cared for Tëma is beyond the pale.”
Other pricey possessions Victor wants back in an effort to prohibit Johnny from hocking them to the highest bidder include a ”Crocodile Celine Bag, 40 Balencia[ga] Bags, 20 Furs (including a $125,000 Sable), Cartier Calibre Rose Gold Watch, Green Hermes Shoulder Birkin, Orange Hermes 35cm Birkin, and 12 Chanel Bags and numerous other items.”
