Allegedly meant to raise money for gifted journalism students, the 100th annual White House Correspondents’ Dinner seemed to be nothing more than a fashion show followed by a lot of elbow bumping between Hollywood and Washington, D.C.
And if that fashion show had an award for best dressed, it’d be a tight race between Jessica Simpson and everyone’s favorite Oscar-darling Lupita Nyong’o.

Speaking of Uzo, we barely recognized her out of the beige jumpsuit!
Of course, President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama were also in attendance doing their best comedy sets for the crowd.
And even though it sounds as if the President’s jokes were a hit, it was Julia Louis-Dreyfus who really stole the show. Her epic caricature of a character, Veep‘s Selina Meyer, met up with Vice President Joe Biden in a pre-taped segment that is well worth the watch.
