Jessica Simpson has revealed how she lost the weight after the birth of her second child, son Ace Knute.
The 33-year old fashion mogul told USA Today that when she got pregnant for the second time, she was “already leading a healthier lifestyle” and she remained active during the pregnancy; working with a personal trainer and going on ”walks with Eric, my almost-husband.”
The blonde beauty suffered a lot of criticism for the amount of weight she put on when she was pregnant with her daughter Maxwell, now 19 months old. ”With Maxwell, I vegged out and laid around. I knew I didn’t have to watch what I was eating for the first time in my life. I kind of let loose, and I gained a lot,” Simpson admitted. But as soon as her daughter was born, Jessica became a spokesperson for Weight Watchers and lost more than 50 pounds.
With her Weight Watchers’ success, Jessica returned to the program once she got the okay from her doctor following Ace’s birth. But the increased exercise seems to be making the difference. She is currently working out with celebrity fitness trainer Harley Pasternak four days a week for 45 minutes, and her routine consists of ” a lot of resistance training, lots of lunges and squats. There are bursts of cardio throughout the workout as well.”
Jessica and her fiancé Eric Johnson are currently planning their wedding, which also serves a a motivating factor for her health and appearance. “I’ve been pulling all kinds of sketches for dresses and colors. It’s a good goal for me. It’s good for me to feel the best I’ve ever felt when I walk down the aisle.” The couple is rumored to be tying the knot in Italy in the summer of 2014.
