Like most of us, Johnny Weir‘s husband learned about the famous figure skater’s plans for divorce through news reports.
That’s right, Victor Voronov had no idea he was getting the boot from his husband of three years. After the media caught wind of the couple’s breakup on Wednesday, the Georgetown Law graduate took to his own Twitter to express his shock at the breakup news, writing:
Shocked by the abrupt ending of my marriage and am dealing with the trauma including multiple things I am just now becoming aware of…

Um, awkward.
Earlier this week, Weir announced his split from Voronov, a lawyer, online. “It is with great sadness that I announce that my husband and I are no longer together. My heart hurts, and I wish him well,” he wrote.
Previously, Voronov filed domestic abuse charges against Weir after claiming the skater had bit him during a fight one month before the Sochi Olympics. Voronov later requested that the charges be dropped.
