Shh, you hear that? That’s the sound of thousands of hearts breaking around the world.
The relationship enigma that is Joseph Gordon-Levitt has come out to officially renounce his singledom, telling Howard Stern on his SiriusXM radio show Tuesday that he does have a special someone in his life.
“I have a girlfriend but I tend not to really like to talk about it in public,” the 32-year-old actor tells the shock jock. “She is not in show business.” Though he refuses to reveal her identity or say long they’ve been together, JGL let slip that he met the mystery girl though “mutual friends.”
“I get up in movies and I play other people, so when the audience is watching me in movies, I don’t want them thinking about me and who I’m dating, and blah blah blah,” he explains about his intentions in keeping the relationship under wraps. “I want them to see the character, the story that I’m telling.”
“The girl that I’m with, she really doesn’t want to be a part of it,” he adds. “You can imagine not wanting to have that kind of scrutiny.”
Previously, Gordon-Levitt have said that he doesn’t like talking about his love life — and those pesky gay rumors — because it’ll be “tacky” of him to address them.
