Sorry, Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio shippers. Your OTP has sunk.
The longtime friends and former co-stars has never had any feeling for one another off the set. Speaking with Marie Claire UK, Winslet insists that the two are just close pals despite, you know, reducing all of us to blubbering messes with the tear-jerking love story that is Rose and Jack in 1997′s Titanic. (And then again in the equally-wrenching Revolutionary Road in 2008.)
“I think the reason that friendship works is because there was never any romantic thing,” the 38-year-old says of her close relationship with DiCaprio.
“It’s so disappointing for people to hear that, because in the soap opera of the Kate and Leo story we fell in love at first sight and had a million snogs, but actually we never did,” she continues. “He always saw me as one of the boys. I’ve never really been a girly-girl.”

According to the British actress, the reason she’s close with DiCaprio, 39, is because they had to endure much of the pandemonium that came with Titanic together.
She explains, “We needed each other to lean on because we were very young and working all kinds of crazy bloody hours and it was a shock to the system.”
Though Winslet and DiCaprio are strictly friends, the two A-lister are still very close in each other’s lives. Previously, Winslet called the five-time Oscar nominee the “love of [her] life” and DiCaprio walked the mom-of-three down the aisle at her wedding with Ned Rocknroll. D’aww.
