How adorable is Keira Knightley for using the word “d*ckhead” in an interview?
In the July 2014 issue of Glamour, the British actress reveals her Begin Again co-star Adam Levine is pretty convincing in the film.
“He did play a d*ckhead very well,” she says. “Actually, I admire him being so willing. To play a d*ckhead is quite a big thing when you are trying to break into film and you want to be likeable.”
In the film, Knightley and Levine play college sweethearts who head to New York City when he lands the deal of his music career. Fame steps in and well, you know the rest. (Watch the trailer here).
In the Glamour interview, Knightley, 29, also opens up about her marriage to James Righton. The pair tied the knot in the South of Francein May 2013.
“Actually my parents kept saying, ‘Why bother?’ I think they only [got married] to get a mortgage. But when James proposed, I just thought, Well, never done that before. It seemed like a fun thing to do.”
As far as the rock star wife lifestyle goes (Righton is a member of the UK band Klaxons), Knightley says she’s a groupie — sometimes.
“You want to be slightly part of each other’s world so you can see what makes them tick,” she tells the magazine. “If one person is on tour for three months and the other’s on a film set, your lives become very separate. It’s tricky. You should have your own thing, but equally you have to build a life together.”
