Kim Kardashian: North ‘Will Have to Work for What She Wants’

Just because North West is the daughter of super-celebs Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, doesn’t mean she will get out of having to work hard for her money later in life.

Kim, 34, recently told London Standard‘s ES Magazine that North, 16-months-old, will have to find a job AND pay her own way when she is older — just like she did!

Kim, who has 24.7 million followers on Twitter, 20.3 million followers on Instagram, and millions in her bank account, said that when she was younger, ”I saved up for this Dolce & Gabbana dress I really wanted, or like in high school these Prada shoes that my parents wouldn’t buy me.”

She continued: “I remember they were $400, and I had to save for the entire year to get them…We didn’t get anything [from our parents], we had to get a job if we wanted it. So I was working in a clothing store, and I would save and save.”

Even Kim’s friends were surprised at the fact that North will have to learn about work ethic. Kim remarked: “I was saying that earlier to my friends: ‘I wonder what her first job is gonna be.’ And they were like, ‘What? She’s gonna have a job?’ and I was like, ‘Are you kidding me? Of course she is!’ She will have to work for what she wants.”

North certainly has a promising career ahead of her, since she’s already worked as a model for Vogue and CR Fashion Book, and is the youngest front row attendee at some of the fashion industry’s biggest shows.

So what does Kim think North will end up being? “I don’t know,” she says. “She loves fashion. Maybe she’ll be a designer. Who knows? It’s too early to tell.”

Too early to tell, indeed! Regardless, we hope the young tot ends up doing something she loves.
