Modern Family fans, brace yourselves: ABC is eyeing a spinoff.
Deadline is reporting that the network has been in early talks with 20th Century Fox TV for a show starring funnyman Rob Riggle.
Riggle played Phil Dunphy’s (Ty Burrell) real estate nemesis Gil Thorpe on two episodes last season.
The spinoff chatter comes just days after Modern Family picked up a fourth consecutive Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series. The show’s fifth season also premiered earlier this week.
