First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes dividing the assets when things don’t work out.
And when it comes to celeb splits, that can mean big money and even bigger homes to divvy up. But in Nikki Reed’s case, her divorce from American Idol’s Paul McDonald is so amicable she won’t be losing the roof over her head.
The Twilight beauty actually got the duo’s sweet Hollywood Hills hideaway in the breakup, CB! has learned.

According to property records, the musician signed over any ownership he had in the prime piece of real estate last July, right around the time the young loves had been “living separately,” according to her rep’s statement about their split.
The twosome’s whirlwind romance started after meeting in March 2011 at the premiere of Little Red Riding Hood, when the 30-year-old musician was a contestant AI. They then got engaged in that summer and moved in together in May with property records showing the Reed fam actually bought the Spanish-style abode in June for the ridiculously reasonable price of around $870,000, just a few months before they tied the knot in October.
And their newlywed nest is so L.A…. and we mean that in a good way.
The 3-bed, 3-bath hacienda is super spacious with 2,300 square feet perched high in the Hollywood Hills above Griffith Park and the San Fernando Valley. There’s a huge living room with cozy fireplace, soaring ceilings, shiny hardwood floors, vintage archways, windows and sunlight aplenty, charming blue tile kitchen, study with private sun terrace, and master bath with floor-to-ceiling window looking directly out onto the pool deck, where the 25-year-old is sure to find her Zen place.
Towering palms line the backyard filled with a sparkling figure-eight pool, spa plus expansive decks and cool cabana bar.
