Rumors of Beyoncé’s Album Being Delayed Are False, Says Rep

Don’t worry, Bey Hive — the queen does have new music on the way.

The Hollywood Reporter broke the hearts of many a Beyoncé fan by reporting the singer’s hot-anticipated fifth studio album has been delayed. But Bey-lievers can now breathe a sigh of relief, as her rep tells The Huffington Post that it’s nothing more than a rumor.

Beyoncé, 31, is laying down new songs in the recording studio while on the road for her Mrs. Carter Show World Tour, according to her rep. But that doesn’t mean an album will hit shelves any time soon — there was never a set release date, the rep adds.

The Grammy-winning singer has been hard at work on her forthcoming album — which would follow her 2011 release, 4 — for a long while. Beyoncé has teased new music, performing it on tour and featuring it ad campaigns, from H&M to Pepsi. But she still has yet to release an official single off the record.

The world’s waiting, Bey.
