Sophia Grace Brownlee, the tutu-wearing, Nicki Minaj-singing 8-year-old who regularly appears on Ellen, has apparently been cast as Little Red Riding Hood in Rob Marshall’s movie adaptation of Into the Woods– or, as her Uncle Lucas called it in his Twitter reveal Tuesday, “In to the Wood.”
“Its official, @PrincessSGB (sophia grace brownlee) has landed the part of little red riding hood in the disney movie in to the wood, ” kooky Uncle Lucas wrote. (Imagine the secrets he reveals at Christmas!)
Subsequent tweets have sounded a bit more 1984-ish; “Think I was slightly early,” he wrote Wednesday, before responding to someone else with, “yeah mate let the cat out of the bag abit [sic] early on that one, and the media have picked up on it.” So who knows if this is really true or not?
Either way, Sophia’s BFF Rosie is totally standing emotionless in a corner somewhere, clutching a teddy bear while “No One Is Alone” plays in the background.
