Say what?
Lindsay Lohan was in a talkative mood recently when she spoke to the Sunday Times and the Telegraph, in which she’s promoting her two-month turn in the David Mamet play Speed-the-Plow in the West End.
She told the Sunday Times that she wanted to “win an Oscar” within five years, and asked where she wanted to be in a decade’s time, told her interviewer: “Two Oscars.”
As for the Whitney Houston comment, she saved that one for the Telegraph.
Lohan suggested she was forced to “roll a body bag” containing Houston’s corpse during a grueling community service sentence at the LA County morgue in 2012. She labelled the decision to send her there “fucked up and inappropriate – because a lot of other people were meant to do it, and they were like, ‘No, they can’t handle it. Lohan can.’”
She added: “It’s different for me than it would be for other people – like, no one would really have to work at the morgue in LA and roll a body bag for Whitney Houston.”
However, she said the experience marked something of a turning point. “I know it sounds really dark and strange, but I thought it would be a lot worse,” she said. “I kind of regulated a lot of it. I’d tell people: ‘You didn’t fold that sheet properly,’ because I’m OCD with folding.”
Of the Mamet play, Lohan said: “I like the idea of being able to fight for what I lost, essentially. I lost a lot of … I wouldn’t say … I don’t think respect is the word … trust from a lot of people. And I don’t mind gaining that back.”
