Shh, you hear that? That’s the sound of millennial girls rejoicing everywhere.

News broke today that Alloy Entertainment is currently developing a third Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants movie. (You know, the one that starred Blake Lively, Alexis Bledel, America Ferrera and Amber Tamblyn back when they were doing insanely popular TV shows.)

Ken Kwapis, who directed the original film in 2005, will return to direct while The Lifeguard writer Liz Garcia will pen the script.

The follow-up will be based on Ann BrasharesSisterhood Everlasting that was released in 2012. The story resumes with the four girls — who’ve all grown apart in the span of 10 years later — busy with their own adult lives. As a way to reconnect, Tibby (played by Tamblyn in the movie franchise) reunite her friends for a trip.

“The Sisterhood series is one of Alloy’s most cherished properties and we are looking forward to continuing its legacy with Sisterhood Everlasting nearly a decade after the first film was released,” Les Morgenstein, president of Alloy Entertainment, says. “The original film brought together an incredible group of talent who we hope to unite for fans once again.”

The four original actress in the series have since found great success on now-concluded television shows — particular Lively on Gossip Girl, Bledel on Gilmore Girls, Ferrera on Ugly Betty and Tamblyn on House M.D. The words still out if the leading ladies will return for the third film.
