More women have stepped forward accusing Bill Cosby of sexual misconduct.
Kathie Lee Gifford made a shocking revelation on Tuesday’s episode of her morning show when she confessed that the comedian had tried to kiss her once in the 70s. According to The Today Show host, the incident occurred during one of the last times she had him.
“I along with so many Americans and people around the world don’t want these [accusations] to be true,” she said. “I will admit, towards the very last times I saw him, he did try to kiss me.”
She recalled, “I said, ‘Bill, no, we’re friends,’ and he said, ‘OK, goodnight,’ and I said, ‘Goodnight.’ And I went to my room, and he went into his room.”
Gifford, 61, then went on to talk about how Cosby used to make her cappuccinos after work. But unlike supermodel Beverly Johnson, who recently penned an essay accusing Cosby of putting drugs in her coffee, Gifford said he’s never felt sick after consuming one of his drinks.
“I always thought it was such a kindness and it was so sweet, and now you see Beverly Johnson saying that he made her a cappuccino, and I just don’t want it to be true, but I’m not saying that the women are liars,” she said. “I’m just saying I never personally saw it with my own two eyes.”
Meanwhile, another woman named Chloe Goins alleged that she was drugged by Cosby during a house party at the Playboy Mansion in 2008. In a new interview with the Daily Mail, the model and Las Vegas lap dancer accused the comedian of slipping something into her drink before licking her toes and breasts when she passed out.
“I was butt naked lying on my back on a bed and didn’t have any idea where I was,” she recalled, explaining she was escorted by Cosby to an empty bedroom to lie down when she felt “dizzy” after consuming a vodka drink he had given her. “‘I came to and remember seeing this big man crouched over me. It was Bill Cosby and he was at my feet, kind of licking and kissing them and I think he bit my toe as that’s what woke me up.”
“I remember waking up and feeling moist all over, like he had been licking all over me. He wasn’t on my breasts when I woke, but I could feel, you know, the saliva on them and that he’d been licking on me,” Goins, who 18 at the time of the incident, said. “I felt embarrassed, it was a gross, icky feeling, I felt very violated and humiliated.”
According to Goins, her attack fell well inside the statue of limitations in California. She said she has made contact with the Los Angeles Police Department and will likely meet with detectives to give a statement in the coming days.
Amid the mounting sexual assault allegations, Cosby’s own daughter, Evin, has stepped forward to defend her famous father, writing in a statement, “Rape is a serious allegation and it is suppose [sic] to be taken VERY seriously but so is Falsely accusing someone. When someone rapes a person they go to prison. THAT should also happen to the person that has wrongfully accused an innocent victim.They are not ONLY destroying innocent people’s life [sic] they are ALSO making it hard for the MEN and Women to find justice when they have been raped.”
