Just when you thought Andrew Garfield couldn’t get any cuter, he pulled out his Justin Timberlake impression, an adorable cockney accent, and teased America in his oh-so-tight Spider-Man suit.
He also kissed a boy Chris Martin….and liked it.
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 star started his evening on SNL with a little help from his lady friend and costar Emma Stone, solidifying the fact that, in Hollywood, you should never “just be yourself.”
Following the high of his opening monologue, which thankfully didn’t involve a song and dance routine, Emma joined Andrew for the obligatory promotional sketch for their newest Spidey adventure.
Surprisingly, the two love birds needed a little help from Martin in the k-i-s-s-i-n-g department.
Speaking of the Coldplay frontman, could his soft-spoken vocals be any sexier? I’m not sure how Gwyneth Paltrow will ever do much better….
The rest of the evening was hit or miss, but thankfully the SNL cast members took a step back and really allowed Andrew to shine. Kate McKinnon and Aidy Bryant stood out every now and again (as I’ve come to expect them to), but it really was Andrew’s evening.
…but I would pay good money to see Taran Killam do an entire performance somewhere in the vein of his cranky critic Jebidiah Atkinson.
