Watch: Daniel Radcliffe Comes to Emma Watson’s Defense in Epic Response to Sex Symbol Status

Daniel Radcliffe just gave the best response to his current sex symbol status.

During an interview with the Associated Press for his new movie, Horns, Radcliffe came to the defense of his former Harry Potter co-star Emma Watson, in the most epic way. Watch the video to see it all go down!

In the video, the reporter talks to Radcliffe about his new movie, and his new role as a sex symbol. The reporter says, “You’re kind of becoming a bit of a sex symbol. Which, to some of your fans, is kind of weird because we’ve seen you growing up on screen, and now here you are.”

Radcliffe replies, “Yeah, I don’t know. If anyone sees me that way I’m delighted, that’s awesome.” He then goes on to say, “Around the time of What If, the rom-com coming out, a lot of people were saying, ‘You’re a really unconventional romantic lead.’ So, eventually I got bored of hearing and I kind of picked someone up on it. So, I was like, ‘What about me is unconventional?’ Just like that, ‘Tell me.’ And she was like, ‘Well, I think it’s probably the fact that we associated you playing Harry (Potter) and a young boy for so long.’ And my immediate response was, ‘Well, the male population has had no problem sexualizing immediately.’”

That’s so true! Watson herself even discussed this issue in her HeForShe speech last month. You can watch that speech HERE!

We’re glad to hear Radcliffe defending his former co-star. What do you think about Radcliffe’s response? Sound off in the comments!
