The trailer for his James Franco‘s new movie — in which he plays a gym teacher who seduces a young female student — has been released amid rumors that the actor had recently attempted to pick up a 17-year-old girl on Instagram.
Directed by Gia Coppola, Palo Alto follows the lives of several young teens living and studying in California. Also starring Emma Roberts and Val Kilmer, the film is based on Franco’s book of short stories of the same name.
So, is this teenage scandal actually just a tasteless viral marketing campaign? We’ll see. For now, watch the trailer in the video above.
