HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller are in the final stages of officially ending their brief marriage.
The twosome filed their final divorce papers Thursday in L.A. County Superior Court, allowing them to be legally single on May 2, TMZ reports.
Under the terms of their divorce settlement, the pair will share legal custody of their twin boys, Max and Bob, who turn 2 next month. Mueller will have physical custody of the children, with Sheen receiving visitation rights.
The settlement also calls for Sheen to pay Mueller a lump sum of $757,698.70. She'll also receive $1 million for her share of the family home (which Sheen keeps), plus $55,000 a month in child support.
Sheen, 45, and Mueller, 33, filed dueling divorce petitions in November. They each cited Christmas Day 2009 as the day of their breakup — a holiday that saw Sheen arrested on suspicion of domestic violence against his wife.
The divorcing pair married in May 2008.
