HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — ABC News Correspondent Bianna Golodryga is now engaged to Obama administration budget director Peter Orszag.
The 31-year-old broadcaster announced the engagement on Tuesday’s Good Morning America, while also revealing the unusual path to her heart.
“[He’s] tall, dark and he could say Golodryga and spell it after our first date,” she said. “That is a winner in my book.”
The couple, who met in May at the White House Correspondent’s Dinner, became engaged Monday at Sarabeth’s restaurant in New York City.
Golodryga began her television career in 2001 as a producer for the cable news channel CNBC. She has worked for GMA since 2007.
Prior to his post in the Obama administration, Orszag, 41, served as the seventh director of the Congressional Budget Office, a position he began in January 2007.
