HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Adrianne Palicki has been cast as the lead in Wonder Woman, a new TV series pilot from David E. Kelley.
The NBC series will offer a fresh take on the iconic DC Comics title in which Wonder Woman — aka Diana Prince — is a vigilante crime fighter in Los Angeles trying to balance her life as a successful corporate executive and a modern woman.
Palicki has a history with the network, having played Tyra Collete on the critically acclaimed Friday Night Lights. She most recently appeared on the small screen in Fox’s short-lived Lone Star.
The 27-year-old actress will next be seen alongside Chris Hemsworth in the feature remake Red Dawn.
Lynda Carter famously rocked the Wonder Woman costume in a television show that aired from 1976 to 1979.
