NEW YORK — Alec Baldwin is "completely fine" after being rushed to a New York City hospital early Thursday.
According to WNBC News, medics responded to the 51-year-old actor's West Side Manhattan apartment after receiving a 911 call. Sources told the local NBC affiliate that it was Baldwin's 14-year-old daughter Ireland (his only child with ex-wife Kim Basinger) who made the call, saying he was "unresponsive" after "possibly taking pills."
Baldwin agreed to go to nearby Lenox Hill Hospital, where he was treated and released after about an hour, WNBC said.
"This was a misunderstanding on one person's part," Baldwin's rep, Matthew Hiltzik, said in a statement. "Alec was quickly released from the hospital, he's completely fine and will be at work today."
A source close to the 30 Rock star insisted to People that there were no drugs or alcohol involved.
Baldwin is due to co-host the Academy Awards next month with Steve Martin.
