NEW YORK – It was a star-studded affair as a who’s who of Hollywood and fashion elite hit the red carpet Monday night to celebrate the annual Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Gala Benefit.
The theme for the event was "Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty" to coincide with an elaborate new museum exhibition that highlights the work of the late designer, who committed suicide in February 2010 at age 40.
Among the celebs hitting the red carpet were Ryan Seacrest, Julianne Hough, Alicia Keys, Swizz Beatz, Blake Lively, Christina Hendricks, Eva Mendes, Fergie, Jennifer Hudson, Jennifer Lopez, Kanye West, Kate Hudson, Madonna, Mary-Kate Olsen, Mick Jagger, Nicole Richie, Orlando Bloom, Miranda Kerr, Penelope Cruz, Renee Zellweger, Rihanna, Salma Hayek and Taylor Swift.
