Alexis Bledel to Guest Star on 'ER' Finale

Alexis BledelHOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Alexis Bledel is ready to scrub up for her return to the small screen.

The former "Gilmore Girls" star will appear on the April 2 series finale of NBC's "ER," according to People.

In her first television appearance since "Gilmore" ended its seven-year run in 2007, Bledel will guest-star as the new intern, Dr. Julia Rise.

The 27-year-old actress is among a group of stars scheduled to appear in the last few episodes of the medical drama, including Susan Sarandon and former "ER" castmembers Julianna Margulies and George Clooney.

Bledel, who starred in the "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" movies, has been busy on the big screen of late, shooting the romantic comedy "The Good Guy," in which she stars alongside Scott Porter.
