HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — The Mel Gibson and Oksana Grigorieva saga took another twist Friday with the release of a photo that allegedly shows the Russian singer after she was beaten up by the actor.
The image, published by RadarOnline, was purportedly taken hours after Gibson and Grigorieva got into a heated fight on Jan. 6. The photo shows Grigorieva with damage to her front teeth. She claims Gibson attacked her while she was holding their 8-month-old daughter, Lucia.
The Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department has opened a domestic violence investigation involving the former lovers, whose bitter breakup began when they split in April after a year of dating. Over the past week, Radar has posted several alleged phone calls between Gibson and Grigorieva that would appear to support a violent relationship. In one tape, Grigorieva ridicules Gibson for beating her.
"I am saving my life and I’m saving my daughter’s life," she tells Gibson. "I don’t give a damn about my music and I don’t give a damn about you spending another penny. I’m saving her life. You almost killed us, did you forget? You were hitting a woman with a child in her hand. What kind of man is that?"
"Oh, you’re all angry now," replied Gibson. "You know what, you f–king deserved it"
A Gibson source told TMZ that Grigorieva demanded more than $10 million to keep the rants from being released.
