HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — It’s another girl for Amanda Peet and her husband, David Benioff.
The 38-year-old actress gave birth to Molly June Benioff, the couple’s second daughter, late Monday in New York, her rep tells People.
"Mother and daughter are doing great," said the rep.
Peet was forced to cancel her planned appearance on Tuesday’s Late Show with David Letterman due to the baby’s early arrival.
Peet and her screenwriter husband married on Sept. 30, 2006 in New York City. They welcomed their 3-year-old daughter, Frances "Frankie" Pen, the following year on Feb. 20.
In November, Peet told Parade magazine that having her first daughter around was a big bonus while filming the action movie 2012.
"It helped to come to her after a day of filming one disaster after another because she was just wanting me to read The Cat and the Hat or whatever," she explained. "That definitely kept me from getting too depressed. I’m trying not to think about what the world will be like when she grows up. I think more about when is she going to start drinking and wearing a g-string and how can I stop those things from happening."
Peet next stars in the feature film Please Give, opening in theaters next weekend.
