HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — The ongoing feud between Anderson Cooper and the Lohan family continues to heat up.
The CNN anchor kicked off the war of words earlier in the week when he called the family’s E! reality show a “train wreck” while serving as a guest host on “Live with Regis & Kelly.”
Cooper was particularly critical of Ali Lohan, saying, “Allegedly a 14-year-old girl, looks to be about 60… I say that with concern and love.”
“She allegedly wants to be a singer and or actor-slash-performer of some sort, striptease person, I don’t know,” he continued in his attack.
The comments prompted an immediate response from Dina Lohan, who quickly came to her daughter’s defense.
“People are just cruel! This is bad karma for him,” she told OK! magazine.
Her response then led to the TV host telling his Anderson Cooper 360 audience, “Let me just reiterate, I feel bad for the 14-year-old daughter. She seems like a nice person, but she should be a kid, not in a [reality show].”
Now, Michael Lohan has joined the circus, firing back at the anchor during an interview with Access Hollywood.
“I think Anderson Cooper is an opinionated, hypocritical idiot who should be an adult and keep his opinion to himself,” he told celebrity program. “He is the last person to judge anyone, when he and his own family have their own issues.”
