The ad was shot fittingly in New York City by top celebrity photographer Joseph Cultice atop The Ludlow, a high-rise luxury apartment building on Manhattan’s Lower East Side.

“I used to wear fur. I went to a cocktail party, walked outside on Fifth Avenue, and a PETA protester was holding up a skinned animal,” the Real Housewives of New York star said in a statement. “I looked at it, and it made me sick. I felt disgusting. That day was a huge change, and since then I’ve really been against fur. I’m cleaning out my closets — trim, everything. I don’t see any reason for cruelty.”

Frankel, 39, joins a long list of celebrities who have posed naked for the group’s anti-fur campaign, including Eva Mendes, Audrina Patridge, Charlize Theron and Christian Serratos.

In October, Frankel announced that she was expecting her first baby. The pregnancy news came shortly after she got engaged to boyfriend Jason Hoppy.
