HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — While most predicted that Jeff and Jordan’s showmance would end with the conclusion of Big Brother, the reality pair has some big news — they are officially dating!
“I liked her on the show, that was obvious,” the 30-year-old Jeff Schroeder tells People, “but after the show ended I liked her even more. I get in trouble when I say that, because Jordan is like, ‘You didn’t like me on the show, and now you like me!?’ but what I mean is that I like her even more now that I see who she is outside of the BB house.”
“We never really talked about it. It just kind of happened,” the 23-year-old Jordan Lloyd adds of the couple’s relationship evolving once shooting ended.
In addition to landing a boyfriend, the North Carolina waitress also walked away with $500,000 by winning the show’s 11th season, which allowed her to make good on a promise to buy her mom a house.
“Right after the show,” Lloyd says, “I got on the Internet, but I couldn’t find anything, and to make matters worse, my mom was being so picky. But I finally found something, and when my mom looked at it she fell in love with it!”
The purchase also gave Lloyd her bed back after famously confessing to sharing a room with her mother. She laughs when asked if the couple has finally been intimate, admitting, “I think he’s waited long enough.” Having spent so much time together already, Schroeder adds that the pair is much further along than a traditional courtship.
“I thought that the biggest hurdle in a relationship was taking a dump in front of each other,” he jokes. “We cleared that in the BB house. As far as the relationship goes we have a leg up. We’ve fast forwarded a year!”
