On Monday, the pop star spent more than two hours at the Los Angeles office of Kaplan, where she provided her deposition in the ex-couple’s custody battle.

The 26-year-old Spears arrived at Kaplan’s office around 10:40 a.m. She drove up in her white Mercedes-Benz SL65 with her pal, Sam Lutfi, wearing a dark blue top and jeans. She was spotted leaving the building at 1:20 p.m.

Kaplan has been after Spears for some time as the singer has failed to show on several occasions for the court-ordered cross examination. She was expected to answer questions about her past drug and alcohol abuse, in addition to answering to her ability to care for her and Federline’s two young sons.

Earlier this month, Spears appeared for a deposition one-and-a-half hours late, only to leave 14 minutes later.

Kaplan has insisted that his client’s goal is not to remove the singer completely from her children’s lives.

"Kevin wants nothing more that to be able to parent his children with participation by their mother. But the best interest of the children require that they be in the most sound, safe, nurturing and consistent environment," Kaplan previously told People.

On January 3, Spears was taken to the hospital on a stretcher following a confrontation with Federline’s representatives over custody of the children. The event led to Superior Court Commissioner Scott Gordon suspending her visitation rights.

At an emergency hearing last Monday, Gordon ruled her visitation rights would remain suspended "indefinitely" after Spears showed up, then left without entering the courthouse.

Another hearing is scheduled for February 19.
