HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Just weeks before her death, Brittany Murphy was beaming about her future with husband Simon Monjack.
“I’ve been very blessed to have a really great loving husband,” said Murphy, who died Sunday at age 32, in an interview with Access Hollywood at her last public appearance on Dec. 3 for the opening of Tt Collection’s Pop-Up shop in Los Angeles.
“I spend more time with my family than anyone else in the world,” she added.
The Clueless star also confessed that she was looking forward to 2010.
“As far as having a New Year’s resolution, I’d love to have a child next year,” she said. “But that’s kind of a large one!”
Murphy’s final public event came just days after reports surfaced about her being fired from a movie set in Puerto Rico, a claim her rep immediately denied.
“She was not nor has she ever been fired from any job big or small,” her rep said at the time. “[Due] to creative differences Ms. Murphy and the production mutually parted ways.”
The mystery surrounding Murphy’s departure from the film later became the subject of a Saturday Night Live skit, in which cast member Abby Elliott portrayed the star as spacey and living in the past.
The skit has since been removed from the NBC-owned site Hulu.com.
