The final determination is pending the receipt of additional toxicological tests and tissue studies that have been ordered by the deputy medical examiner.

“There will be no final ruling as to the cause and manner of death until all of the requested test results have been received and reviewed in context with the autopsy findings,” said the Los Angeles County Department of Coroner in a statement. “It is anticipated that this process may take approximately 4 to 6 weeks or more.”

Foul play is not suspected in Murphy’s death, as the initial autopsy showed no evidence of trauma to the body, officials said.

Murphy, 32, collapsed early Sunday in the bathroom of her Hollywood Hills home. She was pronounced dead a few hours later at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, which said she died from a cardiac arrest.

Investigators spent several hours at Murphy’s home on Sunday, but do not believe the Clueless star’s death was a crime.

“We went to the scene to see if there was anything that suggests foul play, and there wasn’t,” Los Angeles police Detective Wendi Berndt told the Associated Press.
