HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Brittany Murphy’s final autopsy report was released Thursday, the results of which confirmed that the actress did not abuse alcohol or drugs.
“There is no history of alcohol or drug abuse,” the report stated, while also noting that at 115 pounds Murphy was “not excessively thin.”
Earlier this month, the L.A. County coroner’s office disclosed that Murphy died of pneumonia complicated by iron deficiency anemia and prescription drugs. Her death was ruled as accidental.
While Murphy did not have any illegal substances in her system, the final autopsy report noted that she did have “elevated levels” of Vicodin and over-the-counter cold medicines in her system when she died.
Murphy, 32, died on Dec. 20 after going into cardiac arrest at her home in the Hollywood Hills.
