HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Carrie Underwood says guests won't be munching on a wedding cake when she marries hockey star Mike Fisher.
"We're kind of doing cupcakes," the 27-year-old country star recently told CMT Radio Live's Cody Alan. "I consider myself a very traditional person. More than anything, we're going to get married, that's the important part. And we want everyone to have a good time, so we're doing some things like that, that are a little bit different."
The "Cowboy Casanova" singer said the couple is ordering the non-traditional treats from IveyCake, a Tennessee delicacy owned by the wife of her bass player, Mark Childers.
Underwood and Fisher, 29, have yet to set a wedding date after getting engaged in December. She said it's been a challenge finding time to make preparations with both of their busy schedules.
"There's a lot going on," she said. "They are still in the season. They actually only have a few more season games left. I'm touring until the end of June, and have a few shows in July, so we're working on it here and there. We have a few things coming along."
