In an interview with Esquire magazine, the American Idol alum assures the publication that her single “Cowboy Casanova” definitely wasn’t an ode to her ex-boyfriend.

“No, I would never immortalize a guy that did me wrong,” the 26-year-old singer says of the Dallas Cowboys quarterback, whom she briefly dated in 2007. “I would never give him that much credit.”

So what else does Underwood despise? Animal movies.

“I watched Beverly Hills Chihuahua and sobbed, because of all the dogfighting stuff they had in there,” said Underwood, who is currently dating hockey star Mike Fisher. “This little Chihuahua gets stuck in a Mexican dogfighting ring, and it’s supposed to be funny, but oh no, it’s not. Because I know that stuff is true.”
