HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Carrie Underwood is heading back to the small screen.
The 26-year-old country singer will make her acting debut on an upcoming episode of the hit CBS sitcom How I Met Your Mother, People reports.
Underwood will portray a mysterious pharmaceutical sales rep named Tiffany who catches the eye of Ted, the character played by Josh Radnor. The episode is scheduled to air in March.
Last month, the former American Idol winner starred in her very first holiday special. In addition to performing songs from her new album, Play On, she was joined on stage by her childhood idol Dolly Parton. Other who performed with the "Cowboy Casanova" singer included her CMA Awards co-host Brad Paisley and fellow Idol alum David Cook.
December was also a special month for Underwood since she got engaged to hockey star Mike Fisher.
