JACKSON, Miss — Casey Aldridge, the boyfriend of actress Jamie Lynn Spears, was injured in a car accident early Sunday morning in Louisiana.
The 19-year-old Aldridge was driving a 2008 Ford F-250 pickup near Lake Bruin that had four male passengers, a Louisiana State Troopers spokesperson told Access Hollywood. Authorities said he lost control of the vehicle at 1:30 a.m. and it rolled over several times before coming to a stop in a ditch. Aldridge and two of his passengers were ejected from the truck during the crash.
Aldridge was first taken to Riverland Medical Center in Vidalia, La., but he is now hospitalized at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, sources told People.
“The doctors are pretty positive he’s going to be okay,” said a family source. “He should recover fully. Of course you never know, but they’re not expecting him to get any worse.”
Aldridge has been charged with careless operation of a motor vehicle, which is a misdemeanor.
Aldridge and the 18-year-old Spears are parents to a 10-month-old daughter named Maddie.
