SYDNEY, Australia — Actress Cate Blanchett and her husband Andrew Upton welcomed a baby boy on Sunday, according to Australian magazine WHO.
Ignatius Martin Upton was born in Sydney, Australia and weighed 8 lbs., 6 oz.
It is the third son for the couple. Blanchett and Upton, who married in 1997, have a 6-year-old son, Dashiell, and a 3-year-old son, Roman.
Blanchett and her writer-director husband are co-directors of the Sydney Theatre Company, a move made partly due to the couple’s growing family.
“I do love being pregnant,” the 38-year-old actress told Australia’s Herald Sun last year before officially announcing her pregnancy at the premiere of “Elizabeth: The Golden Age” last November.
