HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Two former NFL players, a Miss USA contestant, and an Iraq war veteran are among the castaways for the upcoming Survivor: Redemption Island, CBS revealed Monday.
The network announced 16 of the 18 members of the cast, which will be divided into two tribes – Ometepe and Zapatera.
The remaining two contestants, to be revealed later this week, are former castaways who will return to seek redemption. There is widespread speculation that popular villains Rob Mariano and Russell Hantz will finalize the cast.
Survivor: Redemption Island, the reality show’s 22nd season, premieres Feb. 16 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
