NEW YORK — Charlie Sheen is speaking out after he was reportedly found drunk and naked at a New York hotel early Tuesday morning.
"Oh my man, I’m fine," the 45-year-old actor told a RadarOnline editor via text message when asked about his condition. "The story is totally overblown and overplayed as far as the reality of the scenario."
According to the New York Post, Sheen told officers he had been "out partying" and returned to the hotel with a prostitute, only to fly into a rage when he discovered his wallet and cell phone were missing. The outburst led to an estimated $7,000 in damages after he allegedly trashed the room.
The Two and a Half Men star went to a nearby hospital with his ex-wife Denise Richards, who was also staying at the hotel with the couple’s two daughters. He was released Tuesday night and has since headed back to Los Angeles for work.
