HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Charlie Sheen is out of the hospital after being rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center Thursday morning with what has been described as severe abdominal pains.
The Two and a Half Men star quietly left the hospital last night and is resting at home, his publicist said Friday.
Sheen, 45, was taken to the hospital by ambulance after his neighbors, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills stars Dr. Paul Nassif and wife Adrienne Maloof-Nassif, called 911 around 7 a.m.
Friends say the emergency was the result of an old hernia injury, but sources tell TMZ Sheen had been partying for 36 hours straight. He reportedly kicked off the party session on Tuesday, when he was joined by several others, including at least two porn stars. At one point, he allegedly had a "briefcase full of cocaine" delivered to his pad, a source at the house told TMZ.
The actor’s hit sitcom has been on hiatus this week, but Sheen will be back on set for filming on Tuesday, his publicist said.
It is the latest setback for the Emmy-winning star, whose behavior was recently dubbed a "high level of concern" by CBS entertainment chief Nina Tassler.
