HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Christina Aguilera has confirmed that she and Jordan Bratman have split after five years of marriage.
"Although Jordan and I are separated, our commitment to our son Max remains as strong as ever," the "Genie in a Bottle" singer said Tuesday in a statement.
Aguilera, 29, and Bratman, 33, married in California’s Napa Valley in November 2005.
The Grammy-winner recently discussed how the couple’s 2-year-old son had impacted her marriage.
"Having Max has brought us closer together," Aguilera told the October issue of Cosmopolitan UK. "[Jordan] changed the first nappy while I was in bed recovering from my C-section – and he’s been so hands-on ever since. When I see them together it makes my heart sing and melt at the same time."
