HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Rihanna appears ready to jump back into the dating scene after getting cozy over the weekend with 90210 star Tristan Wilds.
On Saturday night, the pair heated up a party Rihanna hosted at her Los Angeles home, with one eyewitness saying the couple got hot and heavy in front of everyone.
“No one knew why Tristan was there initially, because it was not an industry party — it was very intimate,” a fellow partygoer told the New York Daily News. “But everyone quickly realized they weren’t meeting for the first time, because they were openly affectionate for everyone to see.”
The source says the pair were introduced by a music producer and it was love at first sight.
“They hit it off the moment they laid eyes on each other,” the insider says. “He’s a real gentleman. She likes him a lot, and it shows. From the moment he walked into her party, Rihanna lit up.”
Wilds, 20, is the first love interest for Rihanna, 21, since she broke up with Chris Brown earlier this year after he assaulted her. Earlier this month, she told 20/20‘s Diane Sawyer that she felt ashamed to have been involved with the “Kiss Kiss” singer in the first place.
“That’s embarrassing that that’s the type of person that I fell in love with,” Rihanna said. “[I was] so far in love, so unconditional that I went back. It’s humiliating to say this happened. To accept that? It’s a traumatizing experience.”
Brown, meanwhile, recently told MTV that dating is the furthest thing from his mind right now.
“My whole dating thing, I’ve been kinda chillin’,” he said. “I mean, I’m Chris Brown. I’m not saying it like that, but it’s just, like, girls are gonna be around. I love women. But I would say I’ve just been chillin’ I haven’t really been trying to get into a relationship or trying to date anybody.”
